Ray Fenwick led a workshop called "Experimental Conversations" at Eastern Edge Gallery from 3:00 to 5:00 pm on August 11th. It began with participants entering the gallery space and encountering a projection which asked them to take a seat and remain silent until they received further instructions. The presentation then required audience participation through speaking in unison the phrases that appeared on the wall. It was entertaining, liberating and quite odd, all at the same time, and the rest of the workshop followed this manner as well! The workshop then flowed into, as the title suggests, strange and often hilarious experimental conversations between workshop participants.
His Art Crawl performance, "How To Talk With Plants," will be happening at the Anna Templeton Centre, 278 Duckworth St., from 5:30 - 6:30 pm and 8:30 - 9:00 pm on August 12.
