If you have an idea for an incredible exhibition and just need a gallery willing to hear it, you are in the right place! Here is a (non-comprehensive) list of artist-run centres and galleries throughout Atlantic Canada currently accepting proposals and submissions.

Good to know: There are three separate opportunities to apply for, two gallery spaces and one festival

Good to know: Having a masters degree in fine art (MFA) is recommended, and the application must be sent by mail

Good to know: Closely linked with the Visual Art program at the Grenfell Campus of Memorial University, and the application must be sent by mail

ARCAC & ARTsPLACE Gallery | Annapolis Royal

 

Good to know: Accepting exhibition proposals as well as curatorial proposals that tie contemporary art practice to the Atlantic region

The Khyber Centre for the Arts | Halifax

 

Good to know: Accepting applications for exhibitions as well as applications for "special projects", the latter which must be sent by mail

Good to know: Exhibition space is located within the Charolettetown Farmer's Market

Good to know: Accepts proposals for their artist in residence program as well as exhibitions and performances

Third Space Gallery | Saint John 

 

Good to know: Currently accepting proposals for public, site-specific projects and performances for their one night exhibition event THIRD SHIFT

Galerie Sans Nom | Moncton

 

Good to know: Has three exhibition spaces, and operates in both French and English
