Trade Secrets: What Galleries Expect with Alissa Sexton

Ever wonder why some artists around you seem wildly successful in sales or gallery representation?

Join Artist Consultant and industry expert Alissa Sexton for a presentation and candid discussion on how to work towards gallery representation, or, if it applies, how to work together with your gallery to increase sales.

Topics covered include:

  • Deciding whether gallery representation is right for you
  • Strategies for increasing sales without a gallery
  • What galleries want and how to gain representation
  • What galleries expect from artists
  • What artists should expect from their galleries

Q&A time will follow, giving participants time to ask Alissa questions relating to the topic.

Are you ready to join a supportive community of artists teaching you how to build a profitable, sustainable, and authentic creative career?

About Alissa Sexton:

Since 2005, Alissa has facilitated representation for emerging and established artists while acting as co-director for Canada's longest-running contemporary gallery. Alissa now focuses her attention on individual artist consultations, providing artists with the assistance they need to succeed in the commercial art world. By coaching through studio and curatorial work, and advising on online presence and market trends, her guidance has helped hundreds of artists reach their goals. In 2020, Alissa founded the temporarily online exhibition space Artwrk.ca, which helps artists by providing an accessible e-commerce exhibition solution.
