HOW IT WORKS
Lighting Round is our much-loved Studio Mates program in a short and sweet package! In just one week your creative practice will be infused with positive energy and inspiration. A group of artists will come together to offer feedback, ask questions, and support each other. You'll leave the week with a renewed excitement and a clear focus to take forward into your studio.
Written Feedback
The feedback process is completed independently on a "virtual crit wall" inside a dedicated Slack community.
Each artist will share, ask questions to the group, and receive honest, thoughtful and caring feedback from their fellow members and facilitator. There will also be opportunity to message and chat with your group members to grow your network and creative practices in a collaborative environment.
Group Check Ins
Studio Mates Lighting Round will have two group video calls, through Zoom. The first call will be an introduction to the program where artists can ask questions and get oriented. The second call will be an opportunity for reflection, to receive clarity on the week and to conclude the program.
Above all, they will be a chance to meet other creatives and come together with a common goal.
All feedback will be constructive and considerate, rooted in empowerment, encouragement, and honesty, and conversations will be moderated and visible to members and facilitators. No harsh or closed-minded words will be tolerated in this program, to allow each member to feel safe and free to share their work without hesitation.
